You guys, we've started 2018! Woohoooo! I've had a great Christmas and New Year's, lots of fun with friend and family, made a trip to Huntington Beach and one to Ventura (beaches forever!), briefly reunited with one of my two beloved cousins from Florida who are like sisters to me, spent time with mom and the bf, and painted my way into the new year with some gold sparkles for good measure! I hope you guys had a great holiday season and enjoyed some down time! Now that the holidays are over and the festivities are all done, I guess starting today we're all hanging our party hats (at least for a while) and starting that adulting thing again ;-) I have SO much excitement for this year, I can't even begin to tell you. So many plans and dreams, and I'm looking forward to all of it. I don't usually make New Year's resolutions because I feel like I am constantly reassessing and editing my life and projects throughout the year as I go, but I do make lots of exciting plans and I always dream up new ways to stay creative. So here's to 2018 being the BEST year of our lives yet, to lots of fulfilling creativity in our lives this year, and I'm sending lots of love and good wishes your way! Have an amazing 2018! Happy New Year! xoxo Cristina

Happy new year, Cristina! I enjoyed viewing your creations. I admire the skills you have and it was so interesting to learn about how to paint. I also did enroll in different art class and the hardest part of me is painting a face. The painter must be very careful because once you don't avoid corrections, the features will be destroyed. I am so glad that I was able to see your blog. I do hope that you will continue to post some of your works here.
