A little while ago I painted a portrait of a cute little pup named Matilda who passed away recently. Caroline, Matilda’s owner, loved the portrait so much, she commissioned me to paint her sister’s dog’s portrait, too, Bear, who also passed, sadly. This is beautiful Bear. After Caroline gave her sister Bear’s portrait, she told me: ‘She loooooooved it. I mean, really really loved it! Everyone said that you really captured his essence. My father explained, “that is exactly the look Bear would give me! It’s just like him!”. My sister cried. And smiled. Hugs. Thanks again for sharing your talents to produce such a meaningful remembrance! This is the best gift ever!’ I was incredibly touched to read those words! Thank you, Caroline, and to your whole family for those kind words! I am very happy I was able to make a difference by bringing some comfort to your family. Thank you for trusting me with your special memory. Working on Bear's portrait in Ella Studio, a few minutes at a time. All the short Ella Studio sessions add up ... Loved painting sweet Bear!

This cutie pie is Matilda. She looks like such a sweetie, look at that cute little face! Sadly, Matilda passed away a short while ago, and her owner, Caroline, was heartbroken. Caroline's friend, Elaine, commissioned me to paint Matilda's portrait as a gift for Caroline and her family in this time of grief. I was only too happy to help Elaine with this sweet gesture for her friend.
After giving Caroline Matilda's portrait, Elaine said: 'Beautiful! There are no words to describe how wonderful this painting turned out! My friend saw the painting of Matilda I had put in a frame. She called me and couldn't stop crying. She loved it! I'm so glad I chose you to do the portrait! Thanks a million!'. Thank you for trusting me with such a special memory, Elaine, I am honored! As a former mom of fur babies, I know how painful it is to lose a beloved pet, and I was incredibly happy that my work could bring some comfort to your friend during this hard time. I'm glad I could make a difference with my art. Hugs, Cristina A short while ago, my mom’s husband, Bob, made a special request for a portrait of their cute little dog, Pucki (sounds like cookie). She’s just over a year old, a mix of chiuhuahua and terrier, with a definite strong lean on the terrier side: she looks like a terrier, and she’s a total live wire, this one! :-) Complete with chewing on Bob’s slippers and leaving them in a million bits and pieces, jumping excitedly on everyone, and slipping in a quick face lick when you least expect it, haha! She’s a total cutie pie, a little miss smartie, and she’s loads of fun! And with a face like this, who could resist her! So she became my new project as a birthday present for Bob. Happy birthday, Bob! My mission to paint her cute and lively little face, and all that long fur hanging all over her ears was so much fun! She’s quite a character, and she brings so much joy to both my mom, Ari, and to her husband Bob. They we both so happy to see her portrait, and loved how much it looked like her :-) Here she is, the little spoiled diva who gets chicken breast for treats, with Bob, next to her very own portrait, in a millisecond of holding still :-)
Happy birthday, Bob! May you and mom enjoy Pucki and her portrait for many, many years to come! Love you, guys! |
