How come it’s June, yet it’s still so cold here in Los Angeles? Haven’t we heard it’s summer yet? ;) Seriously, it’s been raining a lot and it’s been so cold, I just wanna vege. But instead I painted your June calendar, willing summer and beach weather to get here already with my happy Pineapple Girl!
Have you seen my very first IG LIVE PAINTING PARTY on Instagram @thecristinatudor? If you haven’t, I painted this very calendar with everyone who showed up, and I was very happy to include everyone in the process. I literally started the calendar with a blank piece of paper, a couple of inspiration images, and my brushes and paints. I sketched a rough outline, painted the illustration with watercolors, talked everyone through my entire process, and in about an hour, we had this calendar ready to go!
If you missed out, or you didn’t get my calendar, no worries: I will do another one soon, but make sure to subscribe to my newsletter at cristinatudor.com to be the first to know when I do another live painting party and to get this calendar and future ones directly in your inbox!
In the meantime, if you want a supa cool new phone case, head over to my shop at cristina-tudor-art.myshopify.com and check out all the new cases I added, with lots of my illustrations. Let me know which ones are your faves, ok? I'd love to know what you like so I can bring you just the kind of illustrations you love!
I hope you like your new calendar this month, and if you do, please let me know. I would love to see photos of your printed calendar (or your phone cases or T-shirts!) and to feature them on my IG account, so tag me @thecristinatudor in your pics and use the hashtag #ctudorcalendar so I can find them :)
And if you’d like to brighten up someone’s day, please share my website cristinatudor.com with them so they can sign up for my calendar, too - the minute they sign up, they get the current month's calendar immediately in their inbox.
Enjoy Pineapple Girl, and have a great early summer!
April showers bring May flowers! It’s May, and I’m all about spring and flowers this month. I was inspired to paint the May calendar by the flowers in the recent SoCal superbloom, the upcoming Mother’s Day, and by Molly Bee, aka @beautsoup on Instagram, who creates fantastic makeup looks and always looks incredible! So I’m going to call this one Flower Girl! ;)
And if you want to make Mom happy this Mother’s Day, you can use code MOTHER15 on all my art prints in my shop at cristina-tudor-art.myshopify.com until Tuesday, May 7 at 11:59pm, which is also the last day to order your prints if you want to make sure you get them before Mother’s Day (May 12). As always, all US shipping is FREE! :)

Here's a few behind the scenes peeks at my illustration process for this month's calendar:
My collaboration with Diptyque Paris in Beverly Hills this past Thursday was amazing! I loved customizing @diptyque candle boxes with my illustrations for so many lovely fashion and beauty influencers in Los Angeles!
The event, ‘Materials That Stir Emotions’, celebrated the Beverly Hills release of the newest limited edition Diptyque candle duo, Lys + Narguile, a spring collection. The two candles transport one to Moroccan riads with their scents when paired and burned together. I was only too happy to contribute to the experience with emotion evoking watercolors. Check out more pics + videos from the event HERE.
It was a lot of fun to connect with so many new peeps in our LA beauty and fashion community and to personalize the boxes for their chosen candle duos! 💖 Everyone loved their boxes, and I enjoyed painting them so much!
Thank you @jennyong @mybelonging @thestylesauce @amyserrano @monicawangphoto @tylynnnguyen @dathias and so many others for sharing your beautiful photos and videos of my live painting on Instagram! 🙏 You are my unofficial photogs 😜 I really enjoyed meeting you, you guys rock! 💖
Thank you SO much for having me, Diptyque! 🙏 Your amazing team was so kind and generous, and I appreciate the warm welcome. I had an amazing time and was thrilled to paint live customizations at your beautiful store in Beverly Hills, can’t wait to return!

Summer’s here, yay! I’m so excited! Did I tell you summer is my favorite season? What’s not to love: the sun, the warm nights, and of course living in flip flops ;-)
June’s free calendar, Summer Girl, was inspired by all things summer: longer days, fresh summer fruit, the sun on your face, an explosion of colors, free flowing fun weekends, road trips and going to the beach surrounded by all the beautiful palm trees here in Los Angeles - which, if you’ve been following me for a while, you know all about my palm tree obsession lol. Everything is brighter, juicier and more fun in the summer, amiright?

This is my daily view here in LA on my morning runs :-) It never gets old.
Check out more fun facts about my morning routine in this Instagram post.
This year I was most inspired by Desigual at New York Fashion Week 2017. The fun head pieces, the explosion of color, the playful designs, not to mention a runway full of movement! So much fun!
She's looking so fab in her glamorous summer hat and piled on jewelry!
I painted the pink in the hat with a vibrant dye made for silk fabrics, which made for a nice complement to the watercolors ... so naturally, this hat must be all silk :-)
She can never have enough bracelets
In-progress, alongside my inspiration.
She wanted to run out and smell the blooms so badly, she just couldn't wait to take the curlers out of her hair!
It was so much fun to paint this at the park, enjoying nature on a beautiful summer day!
I was so inspired by the colors and patterns of this whole outfit with the bird-of-paradise flowers, I just had to illustrate Tropical Girl!
I was still frozen solid from having the AC blowing on me all day at the office, that I imagined she lives in a colorful paradise of blue skies, turquoise warm waters and white sand. Ahhhh ...
And she spends her day under a palm tree, with her fab hat on, in the warm ocean breeze, gazing into the blue horizon while sipping on water from a freshly open coconut ... and not between four walls in front of a computer screen ;-)
Here she is, in-progress
