If you haven't watched my IGTV channel on Instagram yet, you must!  I launched it last week to share with you my live painting process, which is how I pant live at events like weddings, retail, fashion and entertainment events.  And my first behind-the-scenes video is of live painting beautiful Luna Castilho's portrait, a stunning model and TV host from Brazil who is a model for one of my favorite bridal designers, Matthew Christopher.  She loved her portrait so much, she wanted to hang it in her apartment in New York, so off it went to her.  Super exciting, I love bringing together my paintings with my inspiration subjects!

Today I am sharing with you my second IGTV video where I live-paint a large scale fashion illustration of the talented Lupita Nyong'o, at the request of @musicallytrained  This is an acrylic painting on paper, inspired by a photo by Tom Munro of Lupita wearing a form fitting white Celine sweater dress and glam Celine statement earrings in the December 2014 issue of Glamour Magazine.

Super excited to announce the launch of my IGTV channel on Instagram today at @thecristinatudor!  I love sharing my live painting process with you all, which is how I pant live at events like weddings, retail, fashion and entertainment events.  And Instagram's new feature is just perfect for sharing all my behind-the-scenes with you!

To start my IGTV channel, I chose to paint a portrait of the beautiful Luna Castilho, a stunning model and TV host from Brazil who loves supporting and empowering women.  She also happens to be a model for one of my favorite bridal designers, Matthew Christopher, which is how I first came across her on Instagram and was inspired to paint her portrait. 

For this painting, based on one of Luna's Instagram pics, I used acrylic paints on paper and painted straight on the blank paper, cold, without drawing any preliminary sketches, using only her photo as reference.
