Matilda

This cutie pie is Matilda.  She looks like such a sweetie, look at that cute little face!  Sadly, Matilda passed away a short while ago, and her owner, Caroline, was heartbroken.  Caroline's friend, Elaine, commissioned me to paint Matilda's portrait as a gift for Caroline and her family in this time of grief.  I was only too happy to help Elaine with this sweet gesture for her friend.

After giving Caroline Matilda's portrait, Elaine said: 'Beautiful! There are no words to describe how wonderful this painting turned out!  My friend saw the painting of Matilda I had put in a frame.  She called me and couldn't stop crying.  She loved it!  I'm so glad I chose you to do the portrait!  Thanks a million!'. 

Thank you for trusting me with such a special memory, Elaine, I am honored!  As a former mom of fur babies, I know how painful it is to lose a beloved pet, and I was incredibly happy that my work could bring some comfort to your friend during this hard time.  I'm glad I could make a difference with my art.
