In the past 3 weeks, I had the incredible honor to paint live bespoke fashion illustrations at two Salvatore Ferragamo boutiques to celebrate the launch of the new Ferragamo AW19 Women and Men's Collections: at Beverly Center in Beverly Hills and at South Coast Plaza in Orange County 🎨 Guests at the exclusive events received bespoke illustrations to enhance their purchase.
To see the full experience at both events, including behind-the-scenes videos of how I painted my illustrations, visit the Salvatore Ferragamo live event page on my website at cristinatudor.com
Thank you for having me and for the very warm welcome @ferragamo! I had an amazing time painting the lovely customers in the newest collections and meeting everyone! I am simply thrilled to have been a part of these events! I’m still floating on air, feeling so thankful and grateful to be able to do what I love in such incredible company 🖌

Halloween is almost here, it’s only a month away! Woohoo! And I’m totally getting in the mood for fun costumes and trick or treating. So it’s no surprise that this year I’m once again doing a Halloween themed October calendar – my second one so far, as I’m getting close to the end of a full second year of offering you this free printable calendar every month … can you believe it?? Almost 2 full years of creating a brand new, fresh calendar each month, I’m so excited about this cool milestone :)
So which girl is this October bringing you, you ask? Why, Witch Girl, of course, lol. Ok, cheesy, I know, but couldn’t be helped ;)
As always, make sure you tag me in your photos of Witch Girl on Instagram @thecristinatudor use the hashtag #ctudorcalendar so I can find them :) I’d love to share them on my IG!
Have a great October, and a happy (super early) Halloween!

Happy September 1st! Time for fresh school supplies and new outfits as fall is quickly approaching and a new school year is here. Fall fashion season is also starting this month, which I’m super excited about. This month’s calendar is Back-To-School Girl, in her happy yellow cold-shoulder cozy sweater, and she's bringing an apple for the teacher on her first day of class.
As you may have seen on my behind-the-scenes Instagram stories, this month I ended up painting your calendar twice! ;) That’s right, this does happen sometimes, when I’m not happy enough with what I paint. But I’m glad I painted it again, I’m very happy with how my final version of Back-To-School Girl turned out. What do you think?
If you like her, let me know. I would love to see photos of your printed calendar (or your phone cases, mugs or T-shirts from my shop) and to feature them on my IG account, so tag me @thecristinatudor in your pics and use the hashtag #ctudorcalendar or #cristinatudorart so I can find and repost them :))
Have a great September!
A short while ago, I painted live fashion illustrations and portraits of guests at the David Yurman store on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills to celebrate the upcoming wedding of bride Lisa Lafferty, CEO and founder of Beverly Hills Premier Catering, and groom Chris Detert, 'Influential' co-founder and Chief Communications Officer. I also painted David Yurman jewelry portraits of the new Capri collection and illustrations of Galia Lahav wedding gowns, Lisa's own wedding gown designer.
The talented musician and beautiful Lindsey Compton was one of the guests at Lisa and Chris' David Yurman bridal bliss, and whose portrait I also painted. I love a pair of cute hair buns, and Lindsey pulls them off perfectly with an effortless halter top! ✨ A perfect mix of cute, feminine and rocker edgy!

A short while ago I painted this custom illustration, a thoughtful gift from a loving husband Chris @carhartdrums to his beautiful wife Jessica @giorjess from their fave wedding photo 💍 Aren’t they just so sweet? 💞
Jessica loved her husband's suprise gift, and they've already framed it! Now, every time they look at my painting, they remember their special wedding day and the love that brought them together!
If you'd like a custom illustration just like Chris and Jessica's, send me an email at email@example.com, I would love to paint one for you or your loved one! 🎨
Fabric Addict like Mimi G Style, Fashion Queen and DYI Addict Gumball Art Prints Are Here! Find Them In My Shop at cristinatudor.com
I'm super excited to announce that my Gumball Art Prints are back in my shop at cristina-tudor-art.myshopify.com
These prints were inspired by a birthday present I designed for my friend Mimi of Mimi G. Style earlier this year: I wanted to give her something fun, colorful and unique that reflected her love of sewing and fabric. So I painted the Fabric Addict artwork for her, and she loved it so much, we both thought it would be a fun print to add to my shop so that all you guys can snag a copy!
Then I created two more prints, DYI Addict and Fashion Queen cuz let's face it, if you're a fabric addict like Mimi and I are, chances are you're definitely very much addicted to all things DYI and a fashion queen to boot, too! And so the collection of colorful Gumball Art Prints was born!
Each print comes in two colorways, so make sure you pick the color you want from the pull-down menu in the print listing before adding it to your cart.
Visit my shop at Cristina Tudor Shop to see the full collection and tell me: which one's your fave?
ps: check out the behind-the-scenes video below to see how I painted them :)

Loved painting this Louis Vuitton bag and allowing the gold symbols to reveal themselves, like a secret message rising out of the rich mocha leather textures, when the light hits them just right ✨🎨 I was inspired by the amazing @LouisVuitton design, craftsmanship, textures and materials, and touches of gold as the backdrop to the famous Mon Monogram LV personalization 👜 Currently willing it to manifest itself into my closet 🤩
I’m so thrilled to share with you that last Thursday I had the pleasure and honor of partnering with Badgley Mischka and Bloomingdale’s to paint live shoe illustrations of the newest Badgley Mischka shoe collection at Beverly Center in Beverly Hills. Bloomies customers received a complimentary illustration with a Badgley Mischka shoe purchase, giving me the chance to illustrate live some seriously stunning shoes! This collection is an absolute dream! The blush pinks, the nudes, the gold and silver sparkles, it was all perfection! ✨ You can see all the shoes I painted and the fun event vibe right HERE.
Meeting Mark Badgley and James Mischka was definitely the highlight of my night! They are both not only insanely talented, but also incredibly gracious and kind people. I was delighted to meet them and to paint from such beautiful inspiration: their shoes are real works of art! Thank you for allowing me to bring my own artist vision with my paints and brushes to your glamorous designs, Badgley Mischka! 🎨
This was my first partnership with Bloomingdale’s, and I could not be happier with my entire experience! A huge thank you to Hallie and the entire Bloomies team, everyone was so thoughtful, considerate and caring, and I had a blast being part of this event 🙏 I truly felt like I was spending time with dear old friends!
Last, but not least, thank you Women About Town @wat_la and Marissa for being such an awesome group to connect LA women, thanks Ce Ce @visionquestshoes for coming and always for your support, and thanks to all the lovely ladies who attended the event - it was so nice to meet you all, and I loved painting your new shoes, including @samanthaheartsays @alana_pietrzak @thuyndiep and @laneydarling, a lovely bride-to-be who bought her stunning Badgley Mischka wedding shoes that night 👠
Thank you so much for having me, Badgley Mischka and Bloomingdale’s, I’m incredibly grateful! I had so much fun, and it was an absolute pleasure to paint live at your event! Looking forward to our next collaboration 💖✨
How come it’s June, yet it’s still so cold here in Los Angeles? Haven’t we heard it’s summer yet? ;) Seriously, it’s been raining a lot and it’s been so cold, I just wanna vege. But instead I painted your June calendar, willing summer and beach weather to get here already with my happy Pineapple Girl!
Have you seen my very first IG LIVE PAINTING PARTY on Instagram @thecristinatudor? If you haven’t, I painted this very calendar with everyone who showed up, and I was very happy to include everyone in the process. I literally started the calendar with a blank piece of paper, a couple of inspiration images, and my brushes and paints. I sketched a rough outline, painted the illustration with watercolors, talked everyone through my entire process, and in about an hour, we had this calendar ready to go!
If you missed out, or you didn’t get my calendar, no worries: I will do another one soon, but make sure to subscribe to my newsletter at cristinatudor.com to be the first to know when I do another live painting party and to get this calendar and future ones directly in your inbox!
In the meantime, if you want a supa cool new phone case, head over to my shop at cristina-tudor-art.myshopify.com and check out all the new cases I added, with lots of my illustrations. Let me know which ones are your faves, ok? I'd love to know what you like so I can bring you just the kind of illustrations you love!
I hope you like your new calendar this month, and if you do, please let me know. I would love to see photos of your printed calendar (or your phone cases or T-shirts!) and to feature them on my IG account, so tag me @thecristinatudor in your pics and use the hashtag #ctudorcalendar so I can find them :)
And if you’d like to brighten up someone’s day, please share my website cristinatudor.com with them so they can sign up for my calendar, too - the minute they sign up, they get the current month's calendar immediately in their inbox.
Enjoy Pineapple Girl, and have a great early summer!

This Monday morning I'm starting off the week by reflecting on what it means to be courageous and strong, especially as a woman, the way my mom is ❤️ I’ve been thinking about this for a while, and did my best to distill my thoughts yesterday on Mother’s Day when I posted this about my mom, who is an incredible human being!
And then the other day I saw a post from my sweet friend Meagan Morrison of @travelwritedraw about how when Martha Stewart got asked if she ever felt like an impostor she said no, when many of us would answer YES! I’d like to continue this conversation because I find it so important.
Why do so many of us doubt ourselves?
I remember a couple of years ago, right after I made the switch from architecture to illustrating full-time, the first time I told someone I’m a fashion illustrator I had a hard time getting the words out. I didn’t FEEL like an illustrator. So I quickly added, I’m also an architect! LOL. Like I needed to prove my *worth* somehow. I was trained as an architect, not as an illustrator, so I compare myself to others who have the *right* credentials, and sometimes I feel like I’m not the *real deal* because I don’t.
I think it’s because today it’s easier than ever to compare on social media and to feel like you're falling short. Like many of you, I’m afraid to admit I have self-doubt, but it’s important to talk about it because sweeping it under the rug would perpetuate the myth. The myth that I don’t struggle with this. I certainly do.
The hardest part is that people don’t acknowledge feeling this way, so I sometimes feel alone in it. I KNOW I am not alone in this tho! None of us are, thank goodness 😉 Which is why I think REAL change starts with acceptance because we can all relate.
It’s ok to be vulnerable, to acknowledge and to ACCEPT those feelings because they are human nature. We are not robots, people! 😂 All we can do is move forward DESPITE our fears and doubt. I mean, isn’t courage doing something IN SPITE of your fear?
So I say let’s all be courageous and put ourselves there, let’s not waste another SECOND letting our doubts stop us from doing what we dream about. Want to be an artist? Start painting TODAY! Want to get fit? Go for a walk this MINUTE! Want to write? Put words on paper NOW! Don’t let that nagging voice in the back of your head come up with excuses and reasons why not to do it and talk you out of it!
If there’s one lesson I’ve learned that I think is the MOST important of all is to just DO IT! Today. Now. And let me tell you, this is a lesson that I have to re-learn over and over again lol. Because I’m human, and I forget this lesson as life gets in the way and I get distracted, but it’s the one thing I keep coming back to. Every time I remind myself to just go and do it, especially when I’m feeling that self-doubt start creeping in, magical things happen!
I would have never started hand painting my T-shirts if I hadn’t pushed through those doubts. And I would not have had the moving experience of witnessing how joyful they make my customers like Beatrice @whol_some_life and her daughter, Janell. I painted this custom T-shirt for Bea as a Mother’s Day present to Janell, and they both loved it so much! Bea said: ‘Your drawing is gorgeous. Thank you so much! I’m going to order more!!! They’re really special! Janell loved her T-shirt! Everyone wanted one too!’ Had I listened to that doubtful voice of fear in my head telling me all the reasons why I shouldn’t paint and put my work out there, all the reasons why I might fail at it, Bea and Janell would have never shared this special mother-daughter moment on Mother's Day!
So my advice (to you and to myself lol): just tell that voice to shove it! ;) Don’t rob yourself and others of the happiness you can bring with your creativity, in whatever way you choose to express your creative spirit! And let’s GO for it, because this is the ONLY way we grow! If we stop ourselves from fear, we will never get through to the other side where our dreams await! ✨
What have you been stopping yourself from doing because you have doubts? And what steps will you take TODAY to push through that fear and go after your dreams? I’m rooting for you, I know you can do it, so let’s do this together! 😘❤
You with me?
Watch what I loved most about painting this custom T-shirt:
Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy! @ariclia 🌸 I love you SO MUCH! ❤️
You are the BEST mom in the world, the strongest and most courageous person I know, and you have ALWAYS been my biggest supporter and given me the MOST unconditional love anyone could give!!! 💖 Thank you for everything you always do for me, for being there for me from day one 😉 and for always making me your top priority even when that meant sacrificing your own happiness 🙏
Thank you for raising me as a single mom, through countless hardships, without any support from my dad, with little money, and for making my childhood a happy one despite a hard life in communist Romania.
Thank you for getting me through those first years of living in such a rough country and times, and most of all for having the courage to leave all that behind and jump into the unknown, without a shred of hesitation, without a doubt that you would give me a much better life. You certainly have! We have an amazing life here in the States, and I could not be happier 🇺🇸
I am so proud to be an American, to live such an amazing life in this beautiful place, and I count my blessings every day! I thank God for everything He has given us, and I thank YOU for making it happen, for being a STRONG and FEARLESS momma and for having the courage to GO for it!! For all these reasons, and SO MUCH MORE, you are the BEST mom in the world and I am the LUCKIEST person in the world to be your daughter!I love you always and forever!
